Spreading Women's Health

Challenge: John Muir Health is a well-established and highly-regarded healthcare provider in the San Francisco East Bay Area. They wanted to reach out to their immediate service area and beyond to inform women of all ages about valuable health information and the wide-ranging scope of quality services that they provide.

Solution: Prior to working with DCP, John Muir Health had not published a newsletter. Their vision was to create a publication that combined general advice with specific content about their services. WH is the result -- a 20-page, digest-format newsletter that serves as a respected guide to women's health. It also promotes the John Muir Health physicians, services, programs, and classes that are geared toward women's issues.

By describing their extensive library and class facilities, to cutting-edge cardiology and mammography screening equipment, WH ensures that women in neighboring communities consider John Muir Health when deciding which health system to use. At the same time, WH shares valuable, pertinent health information with these women-information that's not specific to John Muir.

Results: Reader surveys have produced record-getting positive feedback, confirming that WH effectively addresses the pressing health issues that women face.
