Diablo Custom Publishing Announces Its Advanced Tablet Application for iPad and Other Tablet Devices

Diablo Custom Publishing (DCP) today announced the release of its Advanced Tablet Application (App) for the iPad, Android and other tablet formats. The Advanced Tablet App provides users an engaging interactive experience far beyond the standard magazine flip book apps that are found on the market today. The Advanced Tablet App enables DCP’s customers to distribute their interactive publications through Apple Newsstand, Google Play, Amazon Newsstand, or through private distribution.

DCP’s Advanced Tablet App enables multiple layers of content to create a unique interactive reader experience. The app presents a digital canvas that doesn’t constrain the publication to the edges of the device’s screen. Text can be free scrolling or move in blocks; it can also be turned off to allow full-screen images on any layout. Features include video and audio that can scroll with text, slideshows, 360-degree photo rotation, and embedded forms.

“We are extremely excited to be on the cutting edge of tablet application development for our clients,” states Barney Fonzi, Group Publisher for Diablo Publications. “While print publications are still in very high demand, we are seeing a sharp increase in requests for custom tablet applications to complement print products. More than 100 iPads per minute were sold in 2011, and more than 65 million new iPads will be purchased in 2012. Additionally, other tablets, like Android and Kindle Fire, are rapidly expanding the market.”

The advanced tablet platform allows for both horizontal and vertical orientations, and each offers a unique and optimized layout. The app also provides advanced analytics that offer insight into how users interact with digital content. The analytics provide more regular, timely, and enhanced levels of detail, allowing DCP's clients to make more informed decisions about their digital publishing initiatives, ultimately delivering greater ROI.
