Jim Offel, vice president/general manager has been with Diablo Publications since 1991. His experience includes 23 years in publication and marketing management. His expertise in helping clients make the most of their marketing publications' budgets led to the formation of DCP as a separate business in 1994. Jim served as president of the national trade association of custom publishers (Custom Publishing Council) from 2004–2006 and is currently a member of the board. When not pondering the big issues in publication marketing, Jim indulges his love of water with trips to the California foothills for white-water rafting or Monterey Bay for scuba diving.
David Bergeron, creative director, has been with DCP since 1998. His previous experience includes seven years of publication design and five years of corporate/product branding and exhibit design. David, a Louisiana native, graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.A. in graphic design and four minors in business, photography, psychology and art history. In his spare time, David refuels his creative energy by hiking scenic Bay Area trails, visiting museums and art shows, and partaking in San Francisco's metro nightlife.
Deborah Kirk, editorial director, oversees our custom publishing editorial staff. The newest member of DCP's management team, Deborah is not new to custom publishing. For the last six years she has been an editorial consultant launching and advising custom publications for clients such as Pottery Barn, Johnson & Johnson, and a leading Latin American bank. Previously, Deborah held senior editorial positions for Harper’s Bazaar, Forbes and Elle. Her articles have appeared in publications including The New York Times Book Review, O: The Oprah Magazine, Rolling Stone, Salon.com, and Travel and Leisure. A native New Yorker residing in San Francisco, Deborah graduated from Brown University. In her free time, she’s an avid scuba diver who loves to travel, write, and photograph.
Eileen Cunningham, operations director, has spent the last decade at DCP managing hundreds of different projects and ensuring that our production process runs smoothly. Before joining DCP, Eileen worked for eight years in sales support where she gained essential skills in achieving customer satisfaction. An East Bay native, Eileen graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in English and earned an M.B.A. from California State University-Hayward. When she breaks away from the office, Eileen heads for the hills where she runs, camps, hikes and bicycles, or takes a leisurely Sunday drive in her 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe.
Amy Romanoff, marketing director, came on board in October 2005 to help ignite DCP's marketing efforts. Amy spent 15 years driving marketing programs for high-tech companies, including Autodesk, IBM and ROLM. She transitioned to publishing 10 years ago as associate publisher for Sybex computer books. Amy earned her B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany and her M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley. Amy gave up her annual summer-long sailing trips with her family to return to the publishing world but dreams of exploring new waterways in the future.
